November 11, 2011 AXN has officially signed on hula doll Leiya (pronounced: lay-her) as its mascot for season 2 of Hawaii Five-0. Leiya is extremely excited about the series endorsement and will be seen on AXN answering Hawaii Five-0 trivia.

Assembled in Hawaii in 2009, Leiya has been a quintessential Hawaiian girl since childhood. That is, she does the hula dance whenever she is happy. “I dance only when I am extremely excited about something”, she said in a press conference held at Hilton. Seeing Steve Mcgarrett chasing bad guys, shirtless makes her dance. The prospect of watching Terry O’Quinn joining the Hawaii Five-0 team would definitely make her dance “but sometimes he looks a bit Lost on the sets”, she admitted.

Asked about the rumours about her link up with Daniel Dae Kim Leiya retorted, “we are just friends… who have a dance together sometimes”. When urged by members of the press to show some of her moves, Leiya graciously declined. “It’s not that easy to make a hula doll dance”, she quipped, “you need to bring on some excitement”.
