#MoreFunAwaits you in the Philippines’ many colorful towns and islands. In this new Original Production by AXN Asia in collaboration with the Department of Tourism - Philippines, 3 sets of celebrity adventurers show you some of the countless reasons you should explore their hometowns next, while sharing tips on how to travel safely in the new normal.
If you want to know what makes a place the Greatest Of All Time, there’s no one better to ask than the people who call it home. Come along as our hosts revisit their roots across 6 episodes to experience the delectable cuisines, unforgettable activities, and tourist attractions that make each of their hometowns the G.O.A.T.!
Megan Young and Mikael Daez
A second honeymoon deserves a great getaway. To celebrate their second wedding anniversary, celebrity couple Megan Young and Mikael Daez head to Megan’s hometown of Zambales, then visit neighboring Pampanga and Tarlac for a taste of their delicacies and history.
For Megan, Zambales means family, food, and fun. Growing up first in Castillejos and then in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, she has many fond memories of road trips, boat rides, and camping in the great outdoors. Her homecoming checklist always includes paying a visit to the iconic San Roque Chapel, where she and Mikael got married.
Megan and Mikael both believe that their experiences together in Subic helped shape their relationship with each other. For this reason, though born and raised in Metro Manila, Mikael has grown to love Subic, and since their marriage, has been happy to also call it home.
Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados flies to Zamboanga for a grand homecoming! She embarks on an “Eat, Pray, Love” solo rendezvous, where she rediscovers the most breathtaking adventures that the region has to offer.
Despite having lived in diverse cultures and locations, Gazini retains a special place in her heart for historic Dapitan, where she was born and raised. Carefree, serene and precious — this is how she describes her hometown with its blissful beaches, freshly caught seafood and historical heritage sites located right within her childhood “backyard”.
PBA Moto Club
When basketball superstars Marc Pingris, JC Intal, Jayjay Helterbrand and Rico Maierhofer aren’t shooting hoops, they hit the open road on their motorbikes with the rest of their buddies at the Philippine Bikers Amazing “PBA” Moto Club.
In this latest journey, the kings of the court follow Marc’s lead up to the coastal province of La Union, passing by his hometown of Pangasinan along the way. Marc cherishes many things in Pozzorubio: the Ilokano food, the world-famous sword shop, and the humble courts where he first learned to play the sport that launched him into stardom. But more than anything, it’s the values of hard work, relationships and respect for others that growing up in this town taught Marc that he believes makes it the greatest of all time.
