Asia's Got Talent

Season 2

Q: Which city do you reside in?
I am currently residing in Pasig but I grew up in Antipolo.

Q: When did you realize your interest in your act and why did you continue to pursue it?
My parents tell me that they had observed my interest in music since I was about two or three years old. But as far as I could remember, I have always been interested in music, and I developed my passion for it since my earliest memories. I began singing when I was very young and I loved doing it very much. I decided to pursue it when I realized that other people, especially my family, had started appreciating my voice too. Then, I began to play musical instruments, particularly the keyboard, when I was 5; and the guitar when I was 8. I however did not have opportunity to enroll in formal lessons yet, but only learned playing them through self-study, mostly through the instructions in Youtube. I am glad that my efforts have paid off and I am now starting to play, especially guitar, in some of my performances.

Q: Which other competitions have you entered before Asia's Got Talent?
This is my first time ever to join a contest and my very first time to perform on such a big stage, an international stage at that, that's why I am very, very happy and grateful.

Q: Why did you enter Asia's Got Talent?
At first, I just wanted to try because I believed that I have the talent. God gave me this voice and it would be good to share it to others. Asia's Got Talent opens up this possibility for me.

Q: Describe your experience in Asia's Got Talent so far?
So thrilling and overwhelming! I never expected that I would come this far. I only tried at first and now I'm one of the finalists, such an amazing experience! I thank all the staff who assisted us. I feel pampered. They're all kind to me. I thank the judges for picking me as a semi-finalist; and I thank the supporters from different countries for voting for me into the finals. I am so, so, so happy!

Q: Who is your favorite judge and why?
Mr David Foster. I've admired him even before I entered the competition because of his expertise in music and have enjoyed videos of him with Charice Pempenco. I appreciate his comments because I believe that they are for my own good. But I am very thankful to all the other three judges too. They have been very kind, affirming, and supportive. They boosted my confidence and gave me more reasons to believe in myself. I will forever be grateful for meeting them all and for having learned from them in this competition.

Q: How many hours per day and per week do you practice?
I practice for an hour or two in the afternoon, at least three or four times a week.

Q: Please share with us how a typical day is like for you?
My typical day? Well, I wake up as early as 5 am to prepare for school. I am a typical student who also tries hard to excel in school. When I get home, I do my homework and review my lessons. If I have no practice, I play outside with my sisters and playmates. In the evening, I sometimes help do some household chores. I wash our dishes and also help mama look after my siblings. I bond with them. I help them with their assignments and we sing with videoke too. And then I sleep at around 9-10 in the evening.

Q: What do you think are your chances to win Asia's Got Talent and why?
Honestly, I really do not know. At this point, I feel I'm already a winner. It's truly heart-warming to realize I have the support of so many people. The faith and confidence of those who believe in me already made me a winner. This is a rare and a very good opportunity for me and I don't want to waste this. I am grateful to the support of everyone, I'm committed to give my best and hopefully I will win.

Q: What will you do with the prize money if you win Asia's Got Talent?
We will use it to buy important things, save some money especially for my studies, and, I also want to donate a portion of it to charity. There is a shelter for children in Antipolo, Precious Heritage. I want to visit them again if I am to go home with the win and money to share after this contest.
