For over a decade, multi-platinum, Korean-American hip-hop artist Jay Park has been at the forefront of the K-pop movement that swept through Asia, before successfully cementing his place as an independent hip-hop and R&B artist recognized worldwide.
Originally hailing from Seattle, Jay's musical roots grew out of his passion for dance. As a competitive b-boy, Jay developed a genuine enthusiasm for hip-hop music and culture. In 2013, Jay Park founded the leading independent hip-hop/urban label, AOMG, based in Seoul, South Korea, with the intention of supporting and developing artists and producers organically. This method resulted in AOMG artists to top all mainstream music charts in South Korea and Asian regions within two years.
Following the establishment of H1GHER MUSIC in 2017 with artists from around the globe, Jay Park announced a partnership with JAY-Z's Roc Nation in August 2017, garnering worldwide excitement surrounding his forthcoming foray into the US market as the first Asian artist signed to the label. Jay's first EP 'Ask Bout Me' with Roc Nation shows his diversity as an artist and features some of the hottest names in hip hop, including 2CHAINZ featuring in 'SOJU', Rich The Kid and Gashi in 'FSU', and Vic Mensa in 'YACHT'.
Active both as an artist and CEO, Jay's talent spreads across a wide range of genres, including vocals, rap, dance, and he continues even today, to stir the crowd with anticipation for what is to come next.
